
Emily Grace Shanahan is a PhD student in Classics, Philology at Cornell University. She is the founder and president of Diversitas, an organization devoted to expanding diversity in classics. She is a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill with a BA in Classics, where she obtained Dean’s List status, participated in the King’s College London exchange program, and earned the Eben Alexander Prize in Greek.
Emily is completing A-exams in Aratus, Ovid, and Homer. She is based in Ithaca, New York, where she lives in a renovated 19th century farmhouse with her rescue dog, Nani.
